The Bellevue Bobcats are the NHL team belonging to Bellevue, Washington. The team has had its share of wins and losses. Yet they all remain close knit, a found family made up of many different personalities and characters.Perhaps you have met some of them before, or its your first time meeting the team. Either way, welcome to the Bobcats!

New to campus? Let me introduce you to the basics!
Bellevue Valley University (BVU) was built in the 1920’s in Bellevue, Washington. Since it’s birth it has grown the town into a city that is now flourishing with wealth.BVU has grown into an elite university with a sprawling campus, dozens of majors and courses to study in, and an exceptional D1 athletics program. Don’t worry though, there are plenty of scholarships that can help you get here!Interested in becoming a Jackalope? I’ll show you around!

On the east side of campus we have Whitney Field, home to the BVU’s football team. These fields have seen their fair share of games, and drama, hosting both the football team, the cheer squad, and of course the marching band.
Towards the edge of campus we have Benson Arena. Named after the legendary NHL player Eric Benson, now the coach for Bellevue’s pro team. This is where he got his great beginning, and where BVU conditions their own hockey team to join the big leagues after graduation.

Don’t let the athletics program fool you, BVU has much more to offer than that. The university also boasts an impressive art studio for various majors and minors, as well as a theater program.
No university is complete without its library. BVU’s sprawling library offers a plethora of books on most any topic you could be looking for. With bonus study rooms that you are able to rent out to have a quiet place to spread your notes out, or to meet up in for group projects.

If you’re living on campus, you can expect to be sharing a dorm with a roommate. Unless you were one of the few fortunate.Don’t worry though! The dorms are recently renovated and now offer fresh light and new furniture to help make you feel at home. Have fun decorating them!

It seems you've found yourself in the Crystal Kingdoms. There are eight kingdoms within this land. All unique with their creatures, the land itself, and the fae kings who rule over them.Perhaps you are a spy sent undercover to kill the Obsidian King. Or maybe you are a siren who has enchanted the Sapphire King. The possibilities are endless. I suggest you explore with caution.
The Obsidian Kingdom lies in a perpetual twilight, where sunlight filters only faintly through the dense canopy of the Shadowed Woods. Villages cling to narrow clearings or rise in gothic stone and ivy-covered towers, their spires piercing the half-light like jagged teeth. Even the grand castle of the Obsidian royal family appears more grown than built, its walls darkened by moss and shadow, standing as both fortress and warning. To outsiders, the kingdom feels unsettling, a place where the line between the mortal and the spectral blurs. But to its people, it is home—sacred in its secrecy, powerful in its silence.

The Obsidian people are famed for their mastery of shadow-magic, which lends itself to warfare, espionage, and the arts of alchemy. Whispers carry that no kingdom has spies as skilled as Obsidian’s, nor warriors who can vanish into the dark with such ease. Their alchemists brew tinctures said to pull life from a body as easily as they restore it, and their assassins leave little trace save for the chill that lingers after their passing. Such gifts, however, come at a cost: other kingdoms eye them with suspicion, believing shadow-magic corrupts the soul. Only the Celestine and Jade kingdoms have dared ally themselves with Obsidian, valuing strength over superstition.

Beyond the walls of its villages, the wilderness of Obsidian teems with creatures born of shadow. Ink Blood Hounds with transparent, skeletal frames prowl as loyal guardians for those who can tame them. Obsidian Ravens, massive bird-like beasts, nest in the high pines and swoop silently on prey. Fragile-looking Grave Moths drift through the woods in swarms, their wingbeats carrying secrets overheard in the dark.

The Quartz Kingdom gleams like a jewel among the clouds. Perched high in the mountains, it basks in near-constant sunlight, its marble cities glowing gold and white beneath the endless sky. Towers rise with elegant grace, crowned with crystal spires that scatter light in dazzling halos across the peaks. To travelers from below, the kingdom seems almost divine—a place untouched by shadow or hardship, where the air itself feels purer and brighter. Yet behind the brilliance lies a kingdom with sharp edges, its beauty as dangerous as it is alluring.

The people of Quartz are known for their artistry and refinement. Musicians, painters, and healers thrive in the long days of sunlight, weaving light itself into their craft. Their healing magic makes them resilient in war, for wounds that would kill others can be mended with a touch or a whispered spell. But their grace should not be mistaken for weakness. The Quartz fae are skilled at veiling cruelty behind a smile, and their rulers wield both their wealth and their light-born power with calculated precision. To them, Obsidian is a blight—an enemy to be watched and opposed, lest shadow taint the purity they so fiercely protect.

Among the mountain skies and valleys, the creatures of Quartz shine with a radiance that matches their kingdom.Winged Pegasus are the pride of the royal stables, their silvery manes rippling like waterfalls of light. Tamed long ago with the help of the Selenite fae, they now serve as steeds for Quartz’s soldiers, though their temperaments remain fiery and proud.Alongside them dwell the elusive Aurora Stags, deer-like beings with crystalline antlers that refract sunlight into rainbows across the cliffs. Their antlers are highly prized, though harvesting them often ends with hunters being blinded by the reflections. And on the dawn-lit cliffsides, Glass Spiders twist radiant webs between cliffs, shimmering like strands of gold.To outsiders, these creatures embody the Quartz Kingdom’s splendor—but to the fae who live among them, they are reminders that even beauty carries danger.

The Sapphire Kingdom stretches like a crescent moon along warm tropical seas, its curve embracing a cove of turquoise waters so inviting that many mistake it for paradise. White limestone cities rise along the coast, their columns and arches painted in sun-washed hues of terracotta and teal, while the royal palace crowns the harbor with Grecian grace. Traders from every kingdom flock to Sapphire’s markets, for its ports are the lifeblood of commerce. Spices, silks, and secrets all pass through its docks, making the kingdom invaluable—and untouchable.None dare strike at Sapphire, for to cripple its harbors would be to starve the world.

The Sapphire fae reflect the rhythm of the tides they command: vibrant, adaptable, and unpredictable. Many are merchants, artisans, and sailors, thriving in the constant exchange of culture and goods. They carry a reputation for charm and creativity, though beneath their easy smiles lies a sharpness born of survival at sea. Pirates stalk the waters beyond the kingdom’s protective coves, and Sapphire fae learn early that trade and treachery are often one and the same.Though they remain neutral in the conflicts of other realms, they wield that neutrality as power, for every kingdom depends on their ships.

Beneath the waves, however, the Sapphire Kingdom is anything but serene. Sirens haunt the reefs and rocky coasts, their beauty and voices luring sailors into deadly embraces. In deeper waters roamStorm Rays, giant manta rays that glide just below the ocean’s surface. Their wings crackle faintly with static, sometimes creating sudden lightning strikes during storms. Sailors see them as harbingers of wrecks.Schools of armored Coral Serpents, sea snakes with vibrant coral encrusting their spines, making them appear like reefs until they strike. Their venom causes paralysis and drowning illusions. These snakes are fiercely territorial around reefs and ruins.Yet closer to the coast and tidepools is where the Seaglass Eels reside. They are long, translucent eels with shimmering, glassy scales. Harmless, and often kept in royal fountains and temple pools as ornamental creaturesFor all its sunlit beauty, Sapphire is a kingdom where danger always lingers just beneath the surface.

Founded in the late 1800s by an elite coalition, Gravehaven is the finishing school for the world’s most powerful bloodlines—politicians, CEOs, and criminal dynasties alike. It operates outside government scrutiny and serves as neutral ground among rival families, where physical violence is forbidden but psychological warfare is currency.
Social rank is everything. Students rise through manipulation, leverage, and accomplishment. Fall too far, and the Academy cuts its losses. At the center of it all are the Legacy Societies—secretive, brutal, and exclusive. You don’t apply. You’re chosen. And once you're in, you owe them everything.

Students must undergo a secret initiation that forces them to confront their darkness, secrets, or loyalty to their family. Some don’t pass. Some disappear.Previous students Rites include, but not exclusively, assassinating a romantic partner to prove family loyalty is first, or manipulating a rival until they ruin their own reputation.
Power isn’t given. It’s earned, stolen, or blackmailed into submission.
Gravehaven’s hierarchy is brutal but efficient. Every student holds a Rank, tracked and updated weekly by an anonymous inner council (known only as The Audit). It determines your privileges, protection, and future placement in the world’s elite circles.

Domain: Corporate empire-building, financial warfare, influence through wealth.Access: By invitation only, often extended through a ritualized “hostile takeover” of another student’s assets or alliances.Reputation: Cold. Unshakable. Masters of acquisition and leverage.
Members of Vulturis aren’t just heirs to companies—they’ve already ruined competitors, even before graduation.Known for shadow-brokering deals behind closed doors, pressuring faculty, and running in-house shell corporations using real money.
The Board Room

Domain: Politics, media control, narrative warfare.Access: Often legacy—generations of world leaders, spin doctors, or scandal-wrapped dynasties
Reputation: Elegant and vicious. Every word is a weapon.Corven controls what’s seen and believed. They manufacture public opinion within the school and beyond.Members are known to sabotage rival reputations with rumors so subtle they sound like facts. They run “The Obsidian Gazette,” an underground paper that reveals (and buries) secrets depending on who pays the price.

The Obsidian Gazette

An underground publication circulated through the elite halls of Gravenhaven Academy, The Obsidian Gazette is no ordinary student paper—it’s a weapon.Founded and quietly run by members of the Corven Society, the Gazette specializes in strategically leaked secrets, carefully worded scandals, and devastating rumors that ruin reputations with surgical precision. Nothing is printed by accident. Everything has a price.Students pay to suppress stories—or to have their rivals exposed. Names have been destroyed in the Gazette’s shadow-black ink, and no one knows who’s next until it’s too late.Officially? It doesn’t exist.
Unofficially? It controls everything.

Domain: Organized crime, blood debts, loyalty through fear.Access: Invitation by a current member—must be sealed with a “favor” (an unforgivable act).Reputation: Brutal, old-world loyalists. Never forget. Never forgive.Founded by descendants of syndicates, cartels, and crime dynasties who wanted a controlled future for their heirs.Their loyalty is absolute—betrayal is a death sentence (figuratively… and sometimes literally).Members are known to settle debts through violence, intimidation, or manipulation of family legacies.
The Gym

Domain: Espionage, surveillance, secrets, psychological warfare.Access: You don’t ask to join. They already know if you’re worthy.Reputation: Silent. Deadly. They already know your secrets.Asphodel is the most mysterious group—rumored to be older than the academy itself.Members specialize in weaponizing information, hacking, blackmail, and infiltration. They’re everywhere, and no one knows who belongs—some members don’t even reveal their affiliation until years after graduation.
The Computer Lab

Example Rites:1. The Rite of Obedience (Entry Rite – used by multiple Societies)
Test: You are ordered to carry out a task that breaks your personal code (e.g., destroy someone you care about, frame an innocent, ruin a friend’s future).
Purpose: To prove your loyalty to the Society over yourself.
Twist: You’re being watched—but not by who you think. The person you betray might be in on it. Or not. You never find out.2. The Rite of Ashes (Dantès Society)
Test: You're sent to “settle a score” on behalf of an old member—revenge that’s been waiting years. It could be a violent act, a psychological takedown, or public disgrace.
Purpose: To prove you understand blood loyalty and the weight of vengeance.
Twist: The target is someone who helped your family once—or a hidden member of another Society.3. The Rite of Silence (Asphodel Circle)
Test: You are given a classified secret about the school or a student. You must keep it to yourself for 30 days—while everyone else tries to get it out of you.
Purpose: To test discretion, emotional control, and the ability to operate under psychological pressure.
Twist: The secret may involve someone you love. Or you. And someone knows you have it.
Influence Points (IPs): Accumulated through wins in academic war games, leverage collected on others, successful missions, and family-backed deals.Reputation Reports: Students submit “Reps” on each other anonymously. Enough reports trigger an internal investigation or downgrade.Assets & Failures: Owning assets like shell companies, media control, or blackmail portfolios boosts rank. Public humiliation, emotional breakdowns, or broken alliances cost you.
Rank Tiers:Sovereign Circle (Top 1%)
These students run the school in everything but name.
They can bend rules, create alliances, or destroy reputations.
Often treated like royalty—staff and faculty give them subtle deference.Vanguard Class (Top 10%)

Given early access to confidential faculty training, real-world assets to manage, and invitations to the Legacy Ball (an invitation-only networking event for heirs and global puppeteers).Operative Class (Middle 40%)
Where most students fall. They have some power and social clout, but they’re still proving themselves.
Their survival often depends on who they ally with.
Every week, they get assigned tasks—some academic, some strategic, some... morally flexible.Liability Class (Bottom 49%)
These students are considered weak links. The school offers them little protection.
Often used as pawns, decoys, or test cases.
If they don’t rise within a term, they might be expelled... or something more permanent.Ghost Rank (0.1%)
Not officially acknowledged.
These are students who’ve been “erased” but remain at the school—silent, unnoticed, watching. No one knows who runs the Ghosts—or what they’re capable of.

Marigold Creek is a small town in northern Montana, with mountains surrounding its northern and western borders and sprawling plains taking over the other half. It is home to a number of people who set down roots generations ago and didn’t move on. One of these legacy families would be the Hawthornes. No one quite remembers when they settled down in the town; it feels as if they have been there as long as the town sign has been.
